Parker, Cyril: In the Surrey Docks – SOLD
£300.00
Closed in 1969, the Surrey Docks have been transformed into Surrey Quays and the remnants of Canada Docks renamed Canada Water. Timber from the Baltic and Scandinavia were major imports and in this evocative scene from the last years of the docks, we see a ship unloading such a cargo in one of the still remaining areas of open water, Greenland Dock. A lovely, confident watercolour, signed and framed.
