Artist description:

Sometimes known as Ann Le Bas she was a painter and etcher born in Camberley, Surrey who lived in Winsford near Minehead, Somerset. She was educated at the City and Guilds of London Art School from 1946-1948, where she studied under Middleton Todd, Henry Wilkinson and Rodney Burn. An exhibitor at the RA since 1945, she also showed with the RE and NEAC of which she was an elected member and with the LG and RBA. A member of the Somerset Guild of Craftsmen, her work is in the collection of GAC, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter and in the Ashmolean, Oxford. She is unrelated to the artistic Le Bas family.
