Description

Artist description:

Graham Clarke was educated at Beckenham Art School and the Royal College of Art where he specialised in illustration and printmaking. With encouragement from Edward Bawden, Clarke began refining an individual approach, focusing on traditional landscapes and rural scenes. He benefited from the print boom of the 1960s, when commissions from Editions Alecto and London Transport helped to launch his career as a printmaker. He has been widely exhibited in Britain and abroad and examples of his work are held by Royal and public collections including the V and A, The British Museum and The Tate Gallery.
