A colour lithograph showing Firbeck Colliery near Worksop in North Nottinghamshire opened in 1923 and closed in 1968, framed. This is a lovely image from early in the artist’s career and is very rare to find. The print has at some time been folded vertically but that does not detract from the quality and impact of this work.

Artist description:
Attended Winchester School of Art, spent two years in Italy learning painting then returned to England working for Harvey’s of Bristol, Rothman’s/Carreras as a print buyer and visualiser and then to the Curwen Press. Now lives in Sussex and works on stone with other artists in his own lithography workshop.
