Artist description:
A much underappreciated printmaker, painter and teacher, he was born in Manchester and studied at the city’s College of Art from 1951-1955 then at the Royal College of Art from 1957-1960. He taught fine art at Birmingham Polytechnic, had a number of solo shows and at the RA, the RSA and the Arts councils. His work is held by the Scottish Museum of Modern Art and by a number of provincial public collections.
