Artist description:

A painter and printmaker, Anthony Harrison was born in Truro and studied architecture at the Northern Polytechnic in London from 1949-1951. He furthered his studies at the Central School of Arts and Crafts where his tutors included Peter Coker. In 1955 he began exhibiting his prints regularly at the St. George’s Gallery and had them reproduced by Editions Alecto.

Harrison exhibited in the USA in 1964 and spent the period 1965-71 teaching at Columbia University in the Graphic Arts Department. He lived and worked in New Jersey and examples of his work are in Brooklyn Museum, New York and in the Government Art Collection.
