Artist description:
A 20th century British artist who worked in an impressionistic style with evident French influence. Much of his working life was spent in Paris and other French towns. He worked from studios in Chelsea and Brighton. He is well known for his London scenes particularly those of the Thames. His work has received renewed interest in recent years with comparisons to the work of some major artists of the twentieth century.
