Donington: Tollgate House, Parkway, Bristol – SOLD

£150.00

A photographic print of a hand-drawn architectural illustration of the proposed Tollgate House, a nineteen floor office block built at the southern end of the M32 motorway leading into Bristol city centre. Completed in 1975, it was the second tallest building in the city and contained some of the most advanced features in British civil architecture at the time, including full air-conditioning. By the 21st century, it was regarded as outdated and unfashionable and was demolished by the City Council in 2005-6.
