Artist description:

A renowned architect and an artist in pen, ink and watercolour, Kenneth Wood was born in London and studied at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art from 1940-1952 with the exception of war-time experience as a pilot in the RAF. From 1955, he worked as an architect-designer and as a painter-draughtsman. He completed a relief mural for Guy’s Hospital and showed at the RA, Royal Exchange, South London Gallery and Waterman’s Art Centre in Brentford. He held solo shows at Leatherhead Theatre Gallery and White Rose Gallery, Hampton Court. He was a member of the Contemporary Art Society and of art societies local to Teddington where he lived.
