Artist description:

A painter, draughtsman and teacher, Michael Lewis was born in Cheltenham and studied at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art, his teachers including Patrick Millard. He went on to hold a number of teaching posts in the south of England eventually becoming Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Croydon College of Art where he settled. He showed at LG New Contemporaries, the RA, SEA and elsewhere with solo shows at Trafford and Scunthorpe Gallery which holds his work.
