Mid-century Art in a Medieval Church!

This year’s second successful exhibition was held in St Denys’ Church, Worcestershire, which we converted to an arts centre for 3 days in November. Under the theme of ‘Landscape in Post-war British art’, we combined original paintings and prints with 1950s’ ceramics to attract over 150 visitors. We focused on 3 artists who were especially active over the mid-century period, John Piper, Rowland Suddaby and Robert Tavener, all the works displayed are included under our New Stock section on The Collection web page. 10% of sale proceeds were donated to the fund to provide modern facilities in this beautiful medieval church and to help secure its future as a community resource. We’re now planning a summer exhibition in the same venue for July 7th-9th next year.
